PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate having porous layers which are excellent in vacancy characteristics, have flexibility, and are excellent in handling property and moldability, and to provide a porous film consisting of a single layer and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The laminate includes a substrate and the porous layers composed of a high polymer on at least one surface of the substrate, wherein the mean pore diameter of the micropores in the porous layers is 0.01 to 10μm, and the vacancy ratio is 30 to 80%, and the micropore is a closed micropore with low communicating property, The porous film is composed of the high polymer, wherein the mean pore diameter of the micropores in the porous film is 0.01 to 10μm, the vacancy ratio is 30 to 80%, the thickness of the porous film is 5 to 200μm, and the porous film has air permeability of≥30 seconds/100 cc expressed by a Gurley value.
