PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the conspicuity of unevenness in density resulting from the variation in the amount of impact. SOLUTION: A liquid discharge apparatus is equipped with: a medium conveyance mechanism for conveying the medium on which a liquid impacts in the conveyance direction; a nozzle group having two or more nozzles which are placed in the cross direction intersecting the conveyance direction; a movement mechanism for moving the nozzle group to the movement direction intersecting the conveyance direction; and a controller. By the controller, the moving of the medium in the conveyance direction by the medium conveyance mechanism and the moving of the nozzle group to the movement direction by the movement mechanism are performed during the period from a certain timing enabling the liquid to be discharged by the nozzle group up to other timing enabling the liquid to be discharged by the nozzle group.
