PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and well-operable power tool highly reliable while preventing the breakage of a flat cable. SOLUTION: The power tool comprises a motor driving circuit having an inverter circuit using a switching element, a brushless motor to be driven by the motor driving circuit, a splittable housing storing the bruhsless motor, a first circuit board for the motor driving circuit, a second circuit board different from the first circuit board, and the flat cable connecting the first circuit board to the second circuit board. A shock absorbing material is provided on the flat cable, and a rib is provided on the split face of the housing. The rib and the flat cable contact each other via the shock absorbing material.
