PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain a cooling device which is compact and has high cooling efficiency, and electronic equipment equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The cooling device includes a cooling fan 50 that generates cooling air 53, an air cooling duct 51 that branches the cooling air 53 generated by the cooling fan 50 to first cooling air 53a and second cooling air 53b, and makes the first cooling air 53a flow into incident/emitting side spaces A and B of a liquid crystal unit 20, and a baffle plate 52 that changes a direction of the second cooling air 53b and makes the second cooling air 53b flow into the incident/emitting side spaces A and B in a different direction from the first cooling air 53a.
