A water purification system is provided to decrease contaminants contained in natural water by transferring the polluted natural water through an open type or a close type waterway. A water purification system(1) includes an intake device(10), one or more storage tanks(20), and one or more channels(40). The intake device collects polluted natural water from an intake point. A connection pipe(22) is formed between the intake device and the storage tanks to transfer the water. A water purifying apparatus includes a distribution device(50). A carrier(46) is installed a part or whole part of the channels. The channel includes the carrier and various natural plants(42).
