The invention relates to a device and a method for controlling the flow of a liquid. In a learning phase, the flow of liquid is measured over a given period of time (t), the beginning and end of said period of time being indicated by a user. The value of the volume of flowed liquid (V) over said period of time is calculated from the length (t) of the period of time and the flow measured during said period and said value for measured liquid volume is stored as reference value (V1-VN). Then, during an operating phase, the volume of flowed liquid is measured and, when the value reaches the reference value (V1-VN), the liquid flow is stopped. |
