<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device for creating information on a noise level which is varied depending on an environment momentarily, and performing processing such as receiver sensitivity adjustment or correlation processing based on the created information. <P>SOLUTION: The radar device performs the determination of a noise dominant area or a target-echo dominant area for each divided area of a search area defined in advance, and calculates a noise level based on received signals from the divided area that is determined as the noise dominant area. Thus, an appropriate value for dividing a target echo and noise can be calculated. By interpolating or extrapolating the calculated noise level in the noise dominant area, a noise level for the other divided area is calculated.
