<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door latch device for an automobile, which enables miniaturization by simplifying a structure. <P>SOLUTION: This door latch device comprises: a cover 7; a motor 18; a worm gear 181 capable of being rotated by the motor 18; a sliding block 19 which is meshed with the worm gear 181 in such a manner as to counterrotate it and slidably supported on a protrusive guide portion 71 provided on the cover 7, and which can move to an operating position from a predetermined neutral one by the rotation of the worm gear 181; a sliding lever 20 which is connected to the sliding block 19 via play corresponding to its own operation stroke, and which can be driven by the movement of the sliding block 19; and a coiled spring 24 which is housed between the sliding block 19 and the cover 7, so as to urge the sliding block 19 toward the neutral position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
