PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the traveling properties of a take-over belt and to apply drawing tension necessary for a taking-over hollow tube. SOLUTION: In a take-over machine 30 for taking over the hollow tube 1 which is extruded continuously by an extrusion molding machine 10 and cooled by a cooler 20, the amount S of a belt clearance which is the size of the clearance between the lower belt surface of a take-over belt 31c holding the hollow tube 1 and the upper belt surface of a take-over belt 32c is adjusted. When the total height of the tube 1 is H, by making the amount of crushing of the hollow tube 1ΔH=H-S about 1.5 mm or above, the tube drawing tension of the take-over machine 30 is made to exceed a tension threshold value of 10 kgf.
