PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery without imposing a burden on the capacity of a power supply facility of each consumer. SOLUTION: The fast battery charger performing fast charging of a battery 3 to be charged comprises: a fast charging battery 21; a charge control section 22 connected with the power supply facility 1 of a consumer and performing charge control of the battery to be charged with a low current by converting the AC power of the power supply facility into DC power; and a charging current control section 24 for charging the battery 3 with power stored in the fast charging battery while controlling the stored power by a required charging current.
