PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily charge a battery pack formed of a plurality of lithium ion secondary batteries to be full with pulse charging while sufficient safety is secured. SOLUTION: In a charging method of the battery pack, the battery pack 1 where a plurality of lithium ion secondary batteries 2 are connected in series is pulse-charged while respective battery voltages are detected. One of the battery voltages exceeds a second setting voltage, a charging switch 5 is changed over to OFF and charging current is interrupted. When all the battery voltages become lower than a first setting voltage which is set to be lower than the second setting voltage, the charging switch 5 is changed over to ON, charging current is made to flow and pulse charging is performed. When one of the battery voltages exceeds a third setting voltage which is set to be higher than the second setting voltage in a state where the charging switch 5 is changed over to ON and charging current is made to flow, the charging is terminated.
