PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a gas apparatus such as a gas cooking stove that a situation cannot be instantaneously grasped because a room is dark when an earthquake occurs in a state that a light is put off late in the night and the like, and a person becomes anxious, though it is known that gas supply to a gas burner is blocked when vibration larger than a prescribed magnitude acts by the earthquake and the like. SOLUTION: In many cases, the gas apparatus is provided with a LED for display, and a light emitting portion 21 for illuminating, for example, the circumference of a flame regulator 2 is lit when the gas supply is blocked. The circumference of the gas apparatus is brightened by the lighting, so that a person can take cool-headed action.
