PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical resin composition containing polymer coated inorganic fine particles having adequate nanoparticle dispersive properties and transparency and useful as an additive for contributing toward increasing the refractive index of an optical resin. SOLUTION: The optical resin composition satisfying both of uniform dispersive properties and optical characteristics is obtained by carrying out polymer coating of inorganic fine particles of≤30 nm using a constituent monomer of an optical resin for dispersion therein when highly refractive inorganic ultrafine particles are uniformly dispersed in an optical resin.
