PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering system capable of reducing abnormal sound generated as a rolling ball gets in and out of an entrance of a deflector. SOLUTION: First and second damping alloys 51, 52 are respectively provided between either one of housing 11 and a motor shaft 41 and first and second rolling bearings 43, 44. The first damping alloy 51 is constituted of cylinder parts 53a, 54a interposed between the housing (motor shaft) and the first rolling bearing and flange parts 53b, 54b interposed between both end parts of the first rolling bearing and the housing (motor shaft), and the second damping alloy 52 has a cylinder part 52a interposed between the housing (motor shaft) and the second rolling bearing.
