PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method and the like capable of producing a comfortable music space in consideration of user's safety. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus (control unit 6) including an audio output section which outputs an audio signal and a cancel signal for canceling external noise decides a user safety state using an external noise input microphone 2 or the like and in a case where it is decided that a user is not in a safe state, the audio signal and the cancel signal are controlled to make a user recognize the external noise.
