The invention relates to a locking device for a vehicle with electric power steering (10), said device acting on one steering system which is connected to a mobile steering element by means of a reducing mechanism (11). The inventive device comprises a mobile locking member (23) which can be moved using an actuator (24) and which co-operates with a ring (20) that is mounted between the electric motor (10) and an element belonging to the reducer (11), such as a worm (13). The aforementioned ring (20) comprises peripheral recesses (21) which are provided with shoulders (25) for the insertion of the locking member (23). The shoulders (25) which are disposed opposite the electric motor (10) prevent the motor from being disassembled, in order to make the device tamperproof.
