<p>A jigsaw (100) generally includes a housing (102) containing a motor (108) activated by a trigger assembly (110). A shoe member (120) is pivotally connected to the housing (102). A locking mechanism (130) has an unlocked condition that permits the shoe member (120) to pivot relative to the housing (102) and a locked condition that prevents the shoe member from pivoting relative to the housing. A stop member (908,956) extends from the housing (102) and the shoe member (120) is configured to be moved axially relative to the housing so that a portion of the shoe member engages the stop member (908,956) to prevent the shoe member from pivoting relative to the housing.
