PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body assembly of an automobile which uses a material with excellent moisture vapor permeability and heat barrier characteristics. SOLUTION: This assembly includes: an outer body structure of an automobile; an interior member disposed within the predetermined distance from the outer body structure between the outer body structure and a passenger compartment; and an inner member having a sheet layer with first and second outer surfaces and a moisture vapor permeable metalized composite sheet which is provided with at least one multilayer coating on the first outer surface of the sheet layer.
