摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide materials having excellent optophysical property when their refractive indexes range from about 1.6 to 1.7 and allowing regulation of the refractive indexes while maintaining the good optophysical property. SOLUTION: (1) The composition for the optical materials comprises a compound (a) having one or more of groups selected among a group consisting of an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, an allyl group and a vinyl group and one or moreβ-epithiopropyl groups in one molecule, and a compound (b) having one or more thiirane rings in one molecule and having no polymerizable unsaturated bond. (2) The composition for the optical materials comprises the compound (a) and an inorganic compound (c) having a sulfur atom and/or a selenium atom. (3) The compound for the optical materials comprises a compound (d) having one or more thiol groups in one molecule in addition to the compound (1) or (2). The above problem is solved by the optical materials produced by polymerizing and curing the compositions for the optical materials, an optical lens formed of the optical materials, and a production method of the optical materials.
