PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material that excels in shock-absorbing performance capable of stably protecting a packaged item from impacts even if the packaging material is fallen a plurality of times. SOLUTION: The packaging material is equipped with an outer box 2 and an inner box 10. The inner box 10 has an inner layer 11 on which an item P to be packaged is placed, and legs 18 for holding the inner layer 11. The inner layer 11 has a horizontal placing part 12 on which the item to be packaged is placed and arms 14 continuously connected with the legs 18 and having inclining faces. The placing part 12 and the arms 14 are continuously connected via folds 16. The folds 16 are portions where perforations, V-cuts, hinges and the like are formed, and lower in mechanical strength than those of the placing part 12 and the arms 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
