An impact position detection device is characterized in comprising a golf club provided with a shaft and a head portion, wherein the head portion has a face portion with an impact surface and is set at the edge of the shaft; an image sensor that is fixed at the shaft and is substantially focused at the head portion to generate an electrical signal in response to an image; an arithmetic operation unit that receives the electrical signal output by the image sensor at the impact time of a ball, calculates a position of the ball, and outputs the calculated result as an impact position signal; a display unit that displays the impact position at the face portion based on the impact position signal output by the arithmetic operation unit; and a power source that supplies electric power to the image sensor, the arithmetic operation unit and the display unit.
