<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the range of measurable brightness and to improve the responsiveness with respect to the brightness. <P>SOLUTION: As the photodetector of the auto-stroboscope device of a camera, an LED 2 or a photodiode is used. The voltage due to the photovoltaic power of the photodetector is amplified by a MOSFET 9, and then an integration capacitor 17 is charged through an amplifying resistance element 11 and an integration transistor 15.
