<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reader capable of suppressing the increase of a manufacturing cost by identifying an optical information reading range without using an exclusive device for irradiating marker light. <P>SOLUTION: The optical path R side ends of first and second lighting lenses 20, 30 include first and second refracting parts 22, 32 refracting a part of light emitted from first and second light sources 50, 51, to travel along the boundaries R1, R2 of an optical path R located on the side of the first and second lighting lenses 20, 30. Consequently, since both ends of a reading range E of a bar code C1 are brighter in illuminance than a portion other than both ends, the reading range E can be identified without an exclusive marker light irradiation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
