PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic lens composition which fulfills requirements of application to ultrasonograph for living body. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe includes a backing material 5; a piezoelectric element 4 formed on the backing material, and having a piezoelectric body 1 and a pair of electrodes 2 and 3 formed on a first surface of the piezoelectric body, which faces the backing material, and on a second surface of the piezoelectric body, which is opposite to the first surface; an acoustic matching layer 6 formed on the electrode surface of the piezoelectric element; and an acoustic lens 7 formed on the acoustic matching layer, and containing 40 wt.% or more of silicone rubber and 12 to 56 wt.% of ytterbium oxide powder.
