PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the use of general-purpose detergent solution by using electrolyzed alkaline water generated by an electrolyzed water production apparatus installed independently from a dishwasher, as wash water for the dishwasher installed independently from the electrolyzed water production apparatus. SOLUTION: This dishwasher has a washing process using the electrolyzed alkaline water stored in a washing tank 11 as the wash water, and a rinse process using water stored in a rinse tank 15 as rinse water; this dishwasher A is provided with an introduction duct 25 dedicated to the electrolyzed alkaline water for introducing the electrolyzed alkaline water, which is generated in a diaphragm cell of the electrolyzed water production apparatus B installed independently therefrom, into the washing tank 11; and the electrolyzed strong alkaline water introduced in the washing tank 11 is diluted with the rinse water in the washing tank and used as the wash water in the rinse process.
