PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure for allowing marking work in a short time with no variation of a working time due to more or less experiences without the need for viewing a drawing. SOLUTION: The marking tool to be used for marking work comprises a first linear member having one end to be locked to one of a pair of foundations or beams of a building, which form two facing sides of a prefabricated bath installation floor surface, and the other end to the other, and a second linear member having one end engageable/disengageable with/from the first linear member for extending perpendicular to the first linear member in the state that one end is locked to the first linear member. On the first member, a sign is marked which shows one axial coordinate on perpendicular coordinates set on a prefabricated bath floor pan at a hot water pipe rising position relative to prefabricated bath supporting legs and the prefabricated bath floor pan. On the second linear member, a sign is marked which shows the other axial coordinate on the perpendicular coordinates at the hot water pipe rising position relative to the prefabricated bath supporting legs and the prefabricated bath floor pan.
