The device has an accelerometer (1) for measuring vibrations of a tube of a heat exchanger based on a piezo-element. The device has a cylindrical form and the diameter of an annular cylinder (10) is smaller than the diameter of the tube. An extending unit extends the diameter of the device such that the diameter of the device corresponds to diameter of the tube. The annular cylinder is made of plastic. A truncated cone (8) is plugged into the annular cylinder. The truncated cone has a screw thread (9) on a side of its small cross-sectional area.
