PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for reducing power consumption during an energy saving mode operation, and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: An image processor 1 is configured of a scanner 2; an SoC (System On a Chip) 3 as a main control part; an image processing chip 4 as an image processing part; an I/O (Input/Output) chip 5; a print engine 6; and a system bus 7. The SoC 3 is configured as a main control part for controlling at least part of the image processor 1 to perform image processing to the received image data.
