The component has an electrode arrangement applying an electrical voltage to organic areas (y, b) arranged between a lower electrode (81) and an upper electrode (80). Segmented sections of the electrode (80) are arranged transverse to a longitudinal direction of series connections. The sections are in contact with a strip segment adjacent to a side and a strip segment of the electrode (81) adjacent to an opposite side, so that a part of the area (b) is connected with the segment adjacent to the side and a part of the area (y) is connected with the segment adjacent to the opposite side.
