A fuel cell stack is provided to couple a stack rapidly with the fixed height and to improve productivity and effectiveness in the mass production of stack by fixing the height of stack with the length of a body part of a fastening unit. A fuel cell stack comprises a membrane-electrode assembly(10) consisting of an electrolyte membrane, anode and cathode positioned on both sides of the electrolyte membrane; a separator(20) positioned on both sides of the electrolyte membrane; end plates(30a,30b) positioned on both sides of a laminate of the electrolyte membrane and the separator; and a fastening unit(40) which passes through the first end plate, the membrane-electrode assembly and the separator and screw-couples to coupling holes of the second end plate. The fastening unit has a head unit(42), body part(44) and screw thread part(46). A stepped part(45) is equipped between the body part and screw thread part so that the cross section of the body part is greater than that of the screw thread part. The stepped part stops tightening when the contacts to the second end plate. |
