Method for processing molasses comprises: isolating a mineral depleted component by separating mineral from the molasses (1); concentrating the mineral depleted component by pasteurization; crystallizing the concentrated component; separating the crystalline phase from the liquid phase by crystallization precipitation; and washing the separated crystalline phase with washing liquid.
