A lamp assembly, a backlight using the same and a liquid crystal display module having a lamp and a protection element are provided to prevent the damage of the lamp by surrounding the lamp and maintaining a static form. A lamp assembly(30) comprises a lamp(32) and a protection element(34). The protection element surrounds the lamp. The protection element is formed into the material in which the material has the elasticity while maintaining the specified formation. The protection element has the lens function. The lens function is progressed according to the optical path for the light generated in the lamp assembly. The protection element surrounds elements for supplying the power to the lamp assembly.
