A multifunctional thiol compound-containing photosensitive resin composition for black resist, a black matrix for a color filter and a color filter using the same are provided to ensure high sensitivity, good pattern adhesion and storage stability. A photosensitive resin composition for black resist comprises (A) alkali soluble resin; (B) photopolymerizable monomer having at least ethylenically unsaturated bond; (C) a photopolymerization initiator; (D) a multi-functional thiol compound represented by the chemical formula I; and (E) one or more coloring agents selected from black organic pigment, color mixture organic pigment and light-shielding agent.
