<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily compare capabilities and prices of a plurality of items in a catalog by graphs of attribute values or evaluation functions, and to evaluate a new product on the basis of an evaluation function so as to quickly and automatically provide new product information to proper users in an electronic catalog device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic catalog device which displays commodities registered in an electronic catalog and their attribute values in accordance with a prescribed operation and presents an index for user's commodity selection, a commodity being a comparison object is designated from commodities registered in electronic catalog data, and an evaluation function calculation formula for obtaining evaluation function values by using attribute values of respective commodities is designated, and the attribute value of the commodity designated as the comparison object is read out from electronic catalog data, and designated evaluation function values are calculated, and evaluation function values calculated about the commodity designated as the comparison object are displayed as a graph. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
