<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set which is made more compact. <P>SOLUTION: In a composite antenna, a first antenna element and a second antenna element are connected to power supply points different from each other at one end, and are connected in a parallel resonance circuit at the other end. Respective antenna elements resonate in the same resonant frequency as the parallel resonance circuit. In the portable telephone set, a first port of an antenna switch is connected to the first antenna element, the second port is connected to a second antenna element, and a third port is switchably connected to either the first port or the second port. A signal processing part makes the antenna switch connect the third port to either the first port or the second port and detects a signal captured by one of the antenna elements according to an output from the third port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
