PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device by which an abnormal operation of a stepping motor can be reliably detected when the stepping motor is easily affected by the external disturbance or even when the stepping motor is driven in a plurality of speed regions. SOLUTION: Two or more kinds of slit holes 1032a with different widths are formed in a light shielding blade mounted on the stepping motor. Two or more kinds of PI signals different in a period in which the PI signal becomes H are output corresponding to the slit holes 1032a with different widths.
