PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a servo motor for holding the pressure of molten metal under high pressure in an ejector for an electromotive die casting machine which casts an aluminum product or the like. SOLUTION: In the ejector for a die casting machine composed of an ejection filling apparatus and a boosting holding apparatus, the boosting holding apparatus is composed of a servo motor, a ball screw converting a rotational motion into a straight motion, a compression spring converting the advancing force in the straightforward part of the ball screw into a plunger and a brake capable of suppressing the rotational motion of the ball screw. In the boosting holding stage, the pressure of the molten metal is increased while compressing the compression spring by the rotational movement of the servomotor, and, after the boosting, the brake is operated; the rotational movement of the ball screw is suppressed, and the pressure of the molten metal is held by the compression force of the spring.
