PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel dipyridyl derivatives as useful materials or intermediates in the fields of pharmaceutical, agrochemical, ligand, silver halide photosensitive material, liquid crystal, surfactant, electronic photograph and organic electroluminescence.
