PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently update a master-slave database storing a large amount of data, in a short time. SOLUTION: A database updating system for updating the master-slave database 6 includes: a generation means which receives pieces of request data 4 to generate pieces of transaction data for updating the database 6 on the basis of the request data 4; an updating means 2 which updates a slave database 61 using the pieces of transaction data; and copying means 2 and 3 which copy the updated slave database 61 to a master database 63 in batch after the end of updating the slave database 61 by the updating means 2.
