PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for suppressing a toner from being adhered on a sleeve in a hybrid developing system. SOLUTION: The image forming method employs a hybrid developing system using the following toner. The toner contains toner particles; and when an average circularity of toner particles having a circle-equivalent diameter of a projected area in the range from nμm to less than n+1μm is denoted by Dn in the toner measured by a flow-system particle image analyzer, each value from D4 to D8 is not less than 0.935, and the difference between the maximum and the minimum from D4 to D8 is not more than 0.015.
