NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION BATTERY, AND NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery superior in charge-discharge cycle characteristics, and to provide the nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery using the same.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery is used for the nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery equipped with nonaqueous electrolyte solution having lithium ions. The negative electrode has a metal-carbon composite material having a porous carbon material consisting of a carbon material in which a gap is formed and a metal material which is composed of metal capable of reversibly storing and releasing the lithium ions and arranged on a surface of the porous carbon material including the inner surface of the gap, and provided that a weight of the whole metal carbon complex material is 100 mass%, the porous carbon material is contained by 1 to 65 mass%.
