<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering cerium which separates an organic matter and a cerium compound from a liquid not substantially containing a chromium element and containing an organic matter such as a decomposition product of electroconductive polymer and a cerium compound, and can collect cerium with a sufficient recovery rate. <P>SOLUTION: The method for recovering cerium includes: an oxidation process which adds an oxidizing agent to a stock solution which contains a cerium compound, in which the total organic carbon content is 100 ppm or more, the content of chromium element is 10 ppm or less, and its pH is 4-9, and performs an oxidation treatment; a deposition process which deposits a cerium-containing precipitate from the stock solution, after the oxidation process; a separation process which separates the cerium-containing precipitate; and a conversion process which produces a quadrivalent cerium compound from the cerium-containing precipitate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
