PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discharging exhaust gas capable of drastically reducing cost by using a short exhaust cylinder and of discharging the exhaust gas accompanied by dilution effects and long contact time with a treating agent of an air-polluting substance. SOLUTION: After brought into contact with the treating agent of the air-polluting substance within an exhaust duct as necessary, exhaust gas is discharged by an exhaust fan upwardly from the exhaust cylinder at 15 m/second or more of high speed.
