PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device having a good steering feeling in both steering in and steering back, and keeping the good steering feeling by preventing oscillation of assist current when a steering state is changed. SOLUTION: An assist current indication value calculating section 28 outputs an indication current value in steering in as an assist current indication value, in the case where a steering state determining section 27 determines a steering state to be a steering-in state, outputs an indication current value in steering back as the assist current indication value, in the case where the steering state determining section 27 determines the steering state to be a steering-back state, and calculates the assist current indication value, based on the indication current value in steering in steering in and the indication current value in steering back, in the case where the steering state determining section 27 determines the steering state to be a steering-out state.
