PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming device hardly generating cracks on the end of a fixing belt, capable of prolonging the lifetime of the fixing belt. SOLUTION: The fixing belt 58 is formed by providing a silicone rubber layer 58b having the thickness of 200-300μm as an elastic layer on the outer circumferential surface of a metal belt 58a molded cylindrically, and by coating the outside further with a mold releasing layer 58c having the thickness of about 30μm made of a fluororesin, such as PTFE or PFA. The thickness of the metal belt 58a is designed so as to be larger at the end R2 than at a center section (in other words, a paper-passing section) R1 in the width direction of the fixing belt 58. More specifically, the metal belt 58a is formed by ironing a metal foil so that the thickness at the center part R1 becomes 20-30μm and that the thickness at the end R2 becomes 30-100μm.
