PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device, resisting an impact when the impact such as drop is applied to a rack, thereby hardly causing shifting from a lens predetermined position, and facilitating rotation of a lead screw when the teeth of the rack run on the lead screw. SOLUTION: A pressing tooth rack 14 and a main tooth rack 15 are respectively provided with tooth-shaped parts 14a, 15b meshing with a lead 10a of the lead screw 10 and disposed opposite to each other. A torsion coil spring 16 causes the rack 14 and the rack 15 to press the lead screw 10, thereby preventing the racks from skipping threads of the lead screw 10. The racks 14, 15 are provided with projecting parts 14b, 15b overlapping each other, and a visco-elastic body 17 is interposed between the sliding surfaces thereof. When an impact is applied and turning force is applied in the directions of arrows A, B, the viscous resistance of the visco-elastic body 17 restrains the sliding force in the direction of the arrow A of the sliding surface 14c and the sliding force in the direction of the arrow B of the sliding surface 15d to thereby restrain the racks from skipping threads of the lead screw 10.
