PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate or make accurate measurements of three-dimensional fluorescence spectra by avoiding the influence of wavelength setting errors caused by backlash. SOLUTION: A computer 10 obtains fluorescence spectra obtained by a detector 8, when an excitation-side spectrograph 2 and a fluorescence-side spectrograph 7 perform spectrum scannings of incident light, having a bright line spectra in a going direction or a returning direction, and compares the fluorescence spectra with wavelengths of known bright lines, thus wavelength-setting errors are obtained, in scanning in going and returning directions set by an excitation pulse motor 12 and a fluorescence pulse motor 11 as wavelength calibration values in scanning in each direction and hence enabling calibration of the wavelength of the fluorescence spectra, in scanning in both the directions and speeding up or making accurate measurements of three-dimensional fluorescence spectra, as compared with the case where only fluorescence spectra in scanning in both the directions can be utilized.
