PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel having a transparent electrode formed by calcinating dispersion liquid, containing fine particles of metal or fine particles of metal oxide and preventing wrong discharges among adjacent discharge cells, in a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel equipped with a plurality of display electrode pairs with a discharge gap formed between a pair of electrodes on a front surface substrate, each of the display electrodes is structured of a bus electrode and a transparent electrode, an outer edge part on a discharge-gap side of the transparent electrode is overlapped with the bus electrode; and the transparent electrode is formed with the use of dispersion liquid containing fine particles of metal or metal oxide, discharge gap is formed with a pair of bus electrodes, a black stripe is formed in a gap between adjacent display electrodes on a side without forming a discharge gap, and the black stripe is formed of an insulating material.
