摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein deterioration in visibility caused by reduction in power consumption and luminance of a backlight can be improved, using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: Electric power is supplied to the backlight 14 and a drawing circuit 12 by a first power supply circuit (e.g. a battery power supply circuit 11), while by a second power supply circuit (e.g. a solar cell power supply circuit 15), electric power is supplied to the back light 14 and the drawing circuit 12. In this case, the solar cell power supply circuit 15 supplies electric power to the backlight 14 and the drawing circuit 12 more proactively than the battery power supply circuit 11, so that from the solar cell power supply circuit 15, most of the electric power pc and pd are supplied to the back light 14 and the drawing circuit 12 respectively according to brightness of the outside. By the drawing circuit 12, based on a value of electric power supplied from the solar cell power supply circuit 15, a color theme in drawing on a liquid crystal display 13 is changed.
