PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold capable of obtaining a molded article of higher surface shape precision by suppressing the deformation produced in the surface forming a cavity at the time of fixing of a core to a holding member, and to obtain the molded article of higher precision. SOLUTION: The mold has the core having a cavity shape part, which forms part of the cavity, formed thereto, the holding member for holding the core and a clamping member for fixing the core to the holding member. The core is fixed by the clamping member to the holding member at a position which is not overlapped with the cavity shape part as viewed from the side of the cavity shape part.
